Our innovative mounting pads allow the platform to rest on the coping of a pool. We have added hooks which can slot into the gaps of nearby drainage, pavers, timber decking etc. or to the back of a pool ledge.

The platform deck can effortlessly fold up into itself for an easy storage solution. This means no more huge objects blocking pathways or acting as a trip hazard for your clients.

To be compliant with best practice guidelines for platforms we have added perforated holes to the platform deck for greater visual surveillance.

Made with 316-grade stainless steel, 5mm thick ABS tubing, custom-designed connectors (with their own cool feature) and a fibreglass polyester resin.

This platform can be used in both shallow and deep water therefore accessing more of your pool area. Multiple lessons at the same time?

The Story: How Platform Edge Came to Life
The early days
This platform has been a long time coming. We are talking years!!! Yes, YEARS! The idea to develop a product came about through a want, actually…a need. Tired of paying for platforms that did not meet our expectations, we felt we needed to create a platform that gave teachers and people in general, another option. An option with greater design prowess, quality, and functionality.
We found a designer
We have spent a lot of time researching and interviewing designers and there have been many false starts.
It was a journey, but we finally found a designer – an industrial designer specialising in mechanical design.
We hired him in November 2017 and we have been crazy busy producing a design ever since.
Our first prototype
It was exciting to get to the first stage of prototype. It was an overwhelming sense of relief and excitement, given what we had been through previously.
The first prototype was basic in structure and only tested the fundamental functionality of the platform design.
We received testing videos and a report from the designer. Seeing an 80kg man jump up and down on this platform we could safely assume this first prototype performed well. There were only a few minor recommendations made from the designer.

Our second prototype
After the first prototype, design changes were made, and the second prototype was built with all systems go…YAY!! This meant we were basically testing the finished product – the look, functions, colours…everything!
Due to manufacturing delays this process felt like it took FOREVER!! Almost six months to be precise, however, our designer stuck by us and facilitated the process from start to finish.
Time to patent this thing
During prototype stage, we found an awesome Australian Intellectual Property attorney who gladly took on our project.
On our behalf, the attorney filed our 30-something page application and now we have patent pending status on a number of platform designs and the associated functional design features.
Our third prototype
We re-visited the design of the platform after testing results of prototype 2. These changes meant the market value of our platforms would have been too high for our potential customers. Therefore, a further redesign of the platform was completed, and testing of prototype 3 began in February 2020.
Unfortunately, like most individuals and businesses around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic also impacted iSwim2 in a big way!
The lockdown, however, did provide us with an opportunity to progress this platform by adding some cool features to it our thoughts remain with those still doing it tough!

Your new platform has been designed to accommodate the conditions usually associated with swimming pool environments, that is – chemicals, salt and sun. However, continuous care and proper maintenance of your platform is still required to ensure its durability and prolong its lifespan.
